Parking for this traditional Cache is off of US Highway 40 just outside of the town of Kremmling. Coming from Kremmling towards Steamboat go approximately 4 miles take a right (you will see signs for the Wolford Mountain Project).
Parking for this cache is found on your left. There are bathrooms available as well.
DID YOU KNOW???
1. Wolford Mountain Reservoir is a man-made reservoir on the Muddy Creek and is owned and operated by the Colorado River Water Conservation District.
2. In addition to agreements that the towns of Kremmling, Granby and Winter Park have for a more dependable water supply, Denver Water can use up to 40% of Wolford’s water.
3. In addition to storing 66,000 acre feet of water which is equivalent to 2,246,062 large roll-off dumpsters, this reservoir acts as an active recreation site for camping, fishing and boating opportunities.
4. This reservoir is a nesting site for Osprey. During spring and early summer you may see chicks in nests around the reservoir.
