Park in the upper parking lot of the Shell gas station near the visitor center display. Click on "View Gallery" in the upper right hand corner to see a photo of Ted's Place in 1989...click on the photo to enlarge it.
Just west of here is the mouth of beautiful Poudre Canyon and the Cache La Poudre River: "THE HIDEAWAY WHERE THE NATIVES PLAY".
Ted's Place opened in 1922 and was sold at an auction in 1989. We stopped in for coffee and pie lots of times back in the day. Once you grab this cache, we suggest heading west and checking out the cool caches in Poudre Canyon.
Through the many, many years Ted's Place stood here, the snow and the wind and the sun and the rain and the cold and as the owners' aged she finally gave in...guess She was a battin' last back in those days, too, eh?
Have fun!
