下諏訪三角八丁(Shimosuwa Sankaku-Batcho) #1: Dark Side of Meiji Goverment


Sakigake mound is the tomb of Captain Sagara Sozo and eight of Sekiho Army executive.
They were executed here on March 3, 1868.

As spearhead of the Meiji government forces, they were willing to Nakasendo.
However, it has been arrested in Shimosuwa as "false government forces".
They were willing to advertised as "half tax" and got the permission of the Meiji government, but there was no money in the Meiji government.
So government has canceled secretly publicity.
And the government is arrested them.
 
The mound was built in 1870 as their graves.
Officials played an honor recover by efforts were stigmatized, and the grandson of Sagara.
I was set up near the mounds cache.

魁塚は、赤報隊隊長 相楽総三以下幹部8名の墓です。
慶応4年3月3日に彼らはここで処刑されました。

明治政府軍の先鋒として中山道を江戸へ進んでいましたが、「偽官軍」として下諏訪で逮捕されました。
彼らは、明治政府の許可を貰って「租税半額」と宣伝して進んでいましたが、明治政府には資金がありませんでした。
そこで政府は、宣伝を密かに取り消して彼らを逮捕したのです。

塚は、彼らの墓として 明治3年に建てられました。
汚名を着せられた、相楽の孫と関係者たちは奔走して名誉回復を果たしました。
キャッシュは塚の近くに設置しました。
