Geocache Description:

camouflaged tube with log only.

There has been a cattle trough here since we started to walk this footpath 30 years ago.  The water bowser has been there almost as long and has been enclosed in a metal fence, presumably to prevent it being stolen!  [it does come and go]This is a very quiet spot with a good view over the surrounding countryside. Sometimes there are cattle or perhaps you may see some of the roe deer that come down to drink here. You may see buzzards, which nest quite close by, or perhaps one of the semi-resident red kites circling overhead.  The cache is easily accessible from the footpath; no climbing needed.  The approach path either from the Charlton or from the Offley Holes direction is quite steep, rough and rutted in places, and can be slippery in wet weather.  It is therefore not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers or ordinary road bikes.
