Customsudoku Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

KowaiBaz: I inspected the general area on my way to Connolly this morning. The hiding location is gone, never to return, and I was unable to find an alternative, sustainable location to place a geocache in the immediate environs. I'm sorry to have to let this one go; it was a cheeky puzzle created by tuanbirdy, which I had the pleasure of test driving before publication. I had to solve both sudokus to calculate GZ. My first effort, although the sudoku was correctly solved, yielded values which were mathematical nonsense. I subsequently found the alternative, and correct, sudoku puzzle, sneakily concealed using a technique I had not previously encountered. One of my favourites, but the time has come to let it go. Thanks to all the geocachers for their fun logs.

Geocache Description:

The reference coordinates are for the Customs House, but the cache is not hidden here.

“Not another Sudoku?”, I hear you groan.   Well, in its defence, it is a popular puzzle, even if a bit overused for geocaching mysteries.  But hey!  There’s none in the city centre, so here is mine.  I hope you enjoy it.
