Geocache Description:

The cache honors Sgt. Bernard Taylor, U.S. Army, who won the Medal of Honor on Sunset Mountain East November 1, 1874.

The container is a cammoed 64oz. PB jar. This is an easy find; we just want to tell Sgt. Talor's story.

While driving northeast toward Winslow on Hwy 87 you will see a long mesa dead ahead of you starting at mile post 316. This is Sunset Mountain East. Just before you reach mile post 313 you will see a turnoff to FR 9736C. Turn off here and park at the side of the road before you reach the gate and fence. The cache is back toward Clint's Well about 125 yards at the base of a Juniper tree covered with sticks and rocks.

Within the container is a short essay detailing Sgt. Taylor's action which resulted in his award. We hope that you have the time to read it.
