Welcome to this letterbox cache that will take you on a sightseeing tour of the "Old Linköping" open air museum. Various old houses are collected here instead of being torn down when they were in the way of construction in the center of Linköping. Some of them are moved piece by piece, others (including some of the large ones) have been lifted onto trailers and moved here in one piece.
The start coordinates of the cache point to a parking lot, but also the spot where you start your walk. Along the way, you will need to take note of various numbers and letters to be able to find the final box.
From the start coordinates, walk past the store selling chocolate and you will come to a white fence on your right side (surrounding Carin Nilsson's villa). On the corner of the fence is a mailbox containing free maps over Gamla Linköping. Feel free to pick up one to get more information about what can be seen here than what this cache will give you.
As you pass by Carin Nilsson's villa, check the sign at the entrance. It will tell you that the house was moved to its current location from Tinnerbäcksgatan 1A. Then continue past the storehouse and turn left on the next street.
Follow the asphalt path until you find a sign reading "Föreningen Gamla Linköping" to your left. Take the number of the house the sign is located on and subtract one to get B.
Continue along the asphalt path until it turns. Turn right with the path, but then walk straight ahead into the garden of a coffee shop. If you just continue straight ahead, soon you will find "Grands paviljong Rekonstruktion" on your left side. It has a sign telling you that it was originally located on Badhusgatan C. Subtract 1 from C to get Q.
Continue straight ahead some more, down three steps. You will find yourself facing an old toilet building. This small building was moved to here from Kungsgatan 6. On the same sign is also the text "År D86E köpte...". Subtract D from E to get F.
As you came down the steps, you had an exit diagonally forward-right. Go through that, and you will find yourself close to the entrance to the museum of printing ("Tryckerimuseum"). The house immediately to the left of that, Anderska gården, has a sign saying that it was moved from Nygatan 62. On the same sign is also the text "Byggnaden plockades ner 196G"
Walk right along the street until you find a sign reading "5" to your left. Turn right here, go across the yard and through the portal on the other side. As you come out, you will have a red building forward-left. Take the second letter in the sign above the door. Its position in the alphabet is H.
Turn left and then left again into the next portal. You will find a small white sign to your left reading "örtagård" pointing into the doorway of a house. The name of the house is written just over the doorway. J is the number of "e" in the name of the house.
Continue ahead until you find a streetlight mounted on a wall. Turn right here. The first house to your left is A. F. Wahlbecks repslageri, and below that is the year 1K77. Continue along the street a bit and you will find Fröken Löfgrens gård. According to the sign, this building "uppfördes i Gamla Linköping 19L2". Take the difference between K and L to get M.
Keep following the same street until you find a gravel path. Follow it left. You will find a wooden statue. On it is a small sign reading "Motorsågsskulptör Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxx". Take the last letter of the first name and the first letter of the last name. Find their positions in the alphabet. The difference is N.
In the statue is also a tram. It has a sign reading "P HAGEBY".
