Geocache Description:

Crossing the Murray River at Berri has seen many Evolutions over the years as before 1905 the only way to cross the river was to take a boat or wait until summer and hope that the river was low enough to get across in horse and Buggy. But in 1905 the first hand winched privately owned ferry was constructed about 8km up river from this point. In 1926 the Berri Council purchased the ferry and moved it closer to the town. Up until November 1961 there was a fee for using the ferry at Berri which you will need to look at to find the final location of the cache. There was one last upgrade before the final demise of the ferry system and that was the addition of a second Ferry in 1964 to lesson the wait times at the crossing. The Berri bridge was ultimately the only way to fix the growing traffic problem across the river and was finally opened on 27th July 1997 and has been in use ever since.

To find the final location simply look at the "Tolls Chargeable" part of the sign and fill in the numbers to get the final Coordinates. All the answers are in Pence (d)

A = (No.12 The Cost of Vehicles, Two Wheeled, Including one horse) - 2
B = (No.21 The Cost of Horses and Cattle led or in Harness) X 4
C = (No.9 The Cost of a Bicycle) + (No.1 The Cost of an Adult) X 3
D = No.27 The Cost of Merchandise, stock, etc in Vehicles
E = (No.11 The Cost of a Trailer Four Wheels) + (No.23 The Cost of Transporting a pig) - 2
F = No.17 The Cost of Agricultural Implements, Including two horses
