Blue Stairs Key. This is the site of the Blue Stairs. A flight of concrete stairs covered with blue tiles. Some thought it a work of art. Others considered it an enticing hazard. It is no longer there.
From Wikipedia:
“Cay, also spelled key, a small, low-elevation, sandy island formed on the surface of a coral reef.” So it’s not sandy and there’s probably no reef down there. Ever heard of poetic license?
“Florida Keys, an archipelago of about 1700 such islands in the southeast United States.” So we’re 1699 short. Artistic license?
