A couple of months ago my dad brought me here to show me this mine opening that he had discovered while hiking up this road. How he spotted it from the road I am amazed. There was six inches of water inside and none of us had the right footware to venture inside. So I planted the cache right then, and came back today to find all gates still open, a mine with no water inside, and my cache was still dry and in good shape.
When you come to find this cache bring a 4X4, or be prepared for a good hike up. If you do want to venture inside the mine (which you do NOT need to do to find the cache) bring a light for everbody, and waterproof footware in the wet season. There is a cross ditch on the road right below GZ that is great to park your front tires in so you don't roll back down hill, but if you want a good flat spot to park there is a parking waypoint up the road from GZ. The view from GZ is stunning but I recommend also continuing up hill to the other view waypoint for an almost 360 view.
