The Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve (1759 hectares) was proclaimed in 1982. It forms part of a designated World Heritage Site. Highest peak in its boundaries is Perdekop (1575m), Du Toitskop (1418m) and Middagkrans (1029m).
This cache is about halfway between the gate and Mont Blanc, GC2NFDN. It took us 1 hour, at a moderate pace to get here, and is a good spot to stop for tea and to take in the views, before continuing to the beacon. The cache container is a round L&L, and have accompanied us on many hikes.
Follow the marked paths to breakfast rock, and then take the left path.
