Everyone in this series were born (MADE) in Germany but became US citizens. I hope that each person who completes this series learns a little bit more about how our two countries, German and The United States of America, are forever connected.


HINTS

I am a man.
I was born in Rheinland-Pfalz.
I am living.

At 11 years old I was expelled from school because I am Jewish.
My father was a shoemaker in Pirmasens.
My family escaped Germany before Kristallnacht.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Television Engineering in 1949.
In 1966 I invented something that many people in Europe and North America either have in their homes are have used at least once.
My invention was released to the public in 1972 by the Magnavox Television company.

All of the prototypes of my invention are now in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C.
In 2006 I received the National Medal of Technology from former President George W. Bush.
In 2010 I was inducted in to the U.S. National Inventors Hall of Fame.
