This cache is placed where the old Port Sunlight to Van Den Burgh railway line passes under the A41, This line served the margarine factory that use to be a little further down the line towards the river, The line has long since closed and now has been turned into a popular cycle path that starts at one end behind the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight and continues along side Bromborough Road passes Spital Dam before passing under the A41 at this spot and ends on Stadium Road.
The last time I traveled over this route on a train was in May 1988 when Levers operated special trains along here as part of there centenary celebrations.
