Geocache Description:

This cache is the first in a series of caches saluting the NS Green Loop which is a new environmentally friendly commute route connecting the Agincourt and L’Amoreaux neighbourhoods of Scarborough. It is 12 km of linked trails for residents to bike, jog or walk to local venues while promoting positive healthy and environmental habits. The loop passes by 9 malls, 22 schools and more than 10 sports facilities. The trail travels through several natural areas including parks and water courses. It takes advantage of the recently created East-West hydro trail paralleling McNicoll Avenue and the generous width of Huntingwood Drive.

You can also check out the updates and pictures of the Green Loop at its official Facebook page, North Scarborough's Green Loop.

This cache has been developed by the environmental club at one of the nearby high schools – the Bethune Environmental Action Team aka BEAT. Be sure to check out some of the pre-existing caches along the route including Kitaro (GCJR7F), L’Amoreaux Park North (GC1BFT6) and Brimley Woods Park (GC46QD7).

The cache is a small magnetic container with a log sheet located just 30 metres off the trail. Bring your own pencil. In the spirit of sustainable transportation there is a TTC token for the FTF.
