Geocache Description:


The CDA has been a fixture in the area for over 60 years! The former owners of CDA ran it for 47 years. As a grocery store, the employees of three nearby textile mills would bring tickets in for groceries, then the tickets would be taken to the mills, which would then take the money out of the worker's pay. A true meaning for meal ticket! Eventually, the mills asked if they would serve sandwiches, too. Last year the current owner of 17 years made a move from the 100 year old small tattered brick building a block away.
