Geocache Description:

Ruoppaköngäs muodostuu luonnonkauniista kalliomuodostelmasta, kalliokivestä ja joenkönkäästä.

Ruoppaköngäs on etenkin lumettomaan aikaan helppo retkikohde. Lähelle pääsee autolla ja perille vie polku. Paikka sijaitsee noin 22 km Sirkasta Muonioon päin. Muoniontieltä kohdasta Muoniontie 2177 käännytään länteen (Kyltissä lukee Ruoppaköngäs).

Paikka sijaitsee Kulkujoessa 200 metrin päässä tiestä (Lähde: www.kittilä.fi). Kivikkoisuutensa takia polku ei kuitenkaan sovi kuljettavaksi esim. lastenrattaiden kanssa.

Ruoppaköngäs is a easy place to hike especially during summer time. You can get close with your car and there is a path leading towards Ruoppaköngäs. It is located about 22km from Sirkka towards Muonio. Beacause of the conditions of the path it is not suitable for strollers.
