We started our trek at Pond Lily Lake (GC2EC0F This Cache Find You Must) and hiked past the Stress Relief #9 cache at Gozem Peak, continuing up the quad trail to the high point on the ridge to the south. I plunged straight down to the lake, not real easy due to incredible manzanita thickets that scratched and hindered me. My return was much easier by following an old logging track that crests at the saddle a short distance to the east of the peak. Bush whacking was negligible.
Alternately a person could bicycle or walk a few miles on a well graded road system acccessed from the locked gate on the way to Cheater Rick's GC1YZTB ?????GROUSE LAKE????? .Google Earth really helps finding those roads.
So you're looking for a small jar hidden at the shore of Grouse Lake, FTF pin for some hero, a grand epic for all who achieve this one. This cache is one of my favorites, and the hike was spectacular with grand views of so much of the north state.
