At the first stage you will find a sign telling you a bit of information about the Wellington County House of Industry and Refuge. More popularily known as the 'Poorhouse', now a museum behind you.
Make your way down the stairs, along the pathway, to the Cairn, gathering information from the different plaques and headstones placed along here. The questions can be answered in the order of your walk.
A = # of beds + crop acreage + cemetery acreage = ?
B = How many inmates pose outside the stone washhouse (laundry)?
C = How many died at the House?
D = How old was the Martha Gabe when she died?
E = How many died between the ages of 80-89?
F = How many burials were there from 1942-1946?
G = Add the ages of the fourth, sixth, and seventh person listed below 1904?
H = What is the age difference between both, the second person listed and the fifth person listed in 1891?
J = What is the age difference between the first person listed in 1927, and the second person listed in 1942?
K = How old was Jane Lewis when she died?
Now sit and enjoy one of the benches placed in here, and do the calculations for the final. (Do the calculations in the order that they appear.)
Take, B+C+D+E+F+G/H/J/1000, and subtract that from the Stage 1 North coordinates.
Take, K-A+J/1000, and subtract that from the Stage 1 West coordinates.
