Biker & Hiker's Rest Stop Traditional Cache

The paved bike and walking trail to the end of the highway is now complete with a special rest stop.

 As you travel North along Route 12 through Corolla you see the nice wide bike and walking trail.  As the highway ends at Currituck Banks Reserve, so does the paved trail.   About 1/2 mile South of the end of the trail, you will observe a new rest stop that includes a covered picnic table, water fountain for big people, small people and canine friends.  There is even a table where you can play a game of checkers. Sorry, no rest room.

When I saw this location, it just seemed to beg for a small cache, so I hope I met the needs of the travelers along this great trail.  It had to be small, so BYOP and think magnetic.
