This is a difficult cache to locate. The structure it is placed on is old, dark in color, and metal with a lot of small places to hide a cache. The cache itself is a small, square magnetic container approximately 2cm high x 5cm square and black.
Hidden historical treasure here, found entirely by accident! Park at the parking waypoint and take a nice, short stroll to the CZ and read the history at the location on the signs and check out the fascinating pictures! Cache itself is not wheelchair accessible, unless you can lower yourself in and out easily, however, the way to the cache is if your chair has wheels that can go through grass. Under 1912 uppfördes ett valsverk i anslutning till järnverket på södra sidan. Valsverket var av typen trio valsverk med tre valsar i varje valsstol. Valsarna roterar inbördes åt motsatt håll och med denna typ av valsverk kunde valsning ske från två håll samtidigt. Valsverket drevs med vattenturbin via kuggväxel. Ljusne Mekaniska Verkstad har under de senaste åren börjat tillverkning av s k kugghjulsvarpspel, speciellt anpassade för motordrift. Spelen finns i fyra storlekar. 1928 Ett haveri inträffade 1928 i södra järnverket då svänghjulet till valsverket brast. Stor materiell förstörelse och driftstopp, men turligt nog inga personskador. Ett nytt svänghjul tillverkades på Ljusne Mekaniska Verkstad ganska omgående. Svänghjulet består av nav med armkors inpassat i den yttre svänghjulsringen som är tillverkad i sex hopfogade segment. Monteringen av svänghjulet utfördes också av personal från mekaniska verkstaden. Vikten på svänghjulet har uppgivits till 50 ton.
