Red Mountain Cache Traditional Cache

This cache is another in a series of viewpoint caches. We like to get a bit of exercise with the reward of a nice view at the top. Park at N46 27.202 W112 14.429  6600ft

The cache is in a small plastic box with snap lid, and contains several small trade items,including a geocoin GSFZJ8  for the first to find. Cross the road to a large cairn with a stick. the trail is somewhat overgrown at the start, then opens up into open timber, beargrass and wildflowers, before steepening into a scree trudge. This tops out on the saddle;follow the trail left on easier ground to the summit dome. There are great views in all directions on a clear day(today was very smokey). Relax and enjoy the scenic summit area, and look in the tall cairn for this cache. It will be found.on a bearing of 192 degrees from the geodetic brass pin. Please replace as found.
