[LV] Popova muiža
Tuvu Vecrīgai pārsteidzošā kārtā saglabājusies 18.gadsimta beigās - 19.gadsimta sākumā celta vienstāva koka muižiņa.
18. gs. beigās krievu tirgotāju Popovu dzimta šeit ierīkoja dzelzs un tērauda ražošanas uzņēmumu un tabakas manufaktūru, tāpēc dambi tautā sauca par Popova dambi, vēlāk – par Popova ielu. Līdz mūsdienām saglabājusies 18. gs. beigās – 19. gs. sākumā celta vienstāva koka dzīvojamā ēka ar mansarda jumtu un barokāliem jumta logiem. Virsgaismas logā saglabājusies metālā kalta īpašnieku monogramma “П”. Jau 1769.gada plānā šajā vietā ir attēlots muižiņu puduris ar aleju, franču dārzu un sakņudārzu ielenkumā - tātad šeit bijušas vairākas šādas ēkas, no kurām līdz mūsdienām saglabājusies palikusi tikai viena.
Ēka 19.gadsimta beigās vai 20.gadsimta sākumā apšūta ar līmenisku dēļu segumu, nosedzot sākotnēji gludo fasādes virsmu.
Muižiņas koka ēka celta šķautņu guļbūves tehnikā. Ēkai liels mansarda jumts, augsts mūrēts cokols, kurā izveidots arī pagrabs. Mansards apdzīvots. Ēkas tēlu lielā mērā nosaka izteiksmīgie logi, kas veidoti dažādu laiku stilā.
Celtne veidota vēlīnā baroka stila formās ar klasicisma iezīmēm jumta logu dekorā, lukarnās, portālos un ārdurvju formās. Būvkalumos un iekšdurvju apmalēs ir arī rokoko iezīmes. Durvju vērtnes veidotas klasicisma stilā - ar kanelurētiem cokola pildiņiem, frīžu joslu un piekariņiem augšējā pildiņa spoguļa apakšējā daļā. Vērtnēm izmantotas masīvas L veida kāšviras, uzlikts augšējais un apakšējais aizbīdnis. Durvīm bijusi paliela kastes slēdzene ar noapaļotiem galiem, par ko mūsdienās liecina tikai tās nospiedums.
Savdabīgs nama elements ir visu ietvi pārsedzošs, uz koka lokiem balstīts nosegs virs ieejas durvīm - iespējams, tas savā laikā ļāva "sausām kājām" nokļūt no karietes iekštelpās.
[EN] Popov manor
Surprisingly close to Old Riga there has survived one-floor wooden manor house built at the end of 18th century - beginning of 19th century.
It belonged to Russian merchants Popov - this is testified also by the metal monogram still located in the window of overhead lighting. In the plan from 1769 in this site there has been depicted a group of manor houses surrounded by causeways, French gardens and vegetable gardens. This shows that here were located several such buildings - but only one has survived up to this day.
At the end of 19th century or beginning of 20th century the building has been planked thus covering the even facade.
The building has been constructed of horizontal beams. It has got high French roof and high base floor with cellar in it. Apartments are located in French roof. The image of the building is defined by expressive windows shaped in styles from different periods.
The building has been shaped in late Barocco style, part of windows, portals and lucarnes have got features of Neo-Classicism style. Forgings and edgings of inside doors have got features of Rococo.
Specific feature of the building is a cover above the entrance door. It covers whole width of pavement and most likely it allowed to enter the house directly from the carriage, with dry feet.
