Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates, although you will need to go there.

Take a close look at the rock in the middle of the river. Do you see the inclusions of white shiny rock in the pink gneiss?

What kind of rock ARE those inclusions? Count the number of letters in that rock's name and double it. The cache is that many metres away from the rock, in the direction that the rock is pointing. Head height on a branch overhanging the water.

Although the cache may look like it's along the shoreline, it IS NOT. It's on a tree branch overhanging the river and is NOT accessible from the private property along the nearby shoreline.

Neither can you walk along the shoreline to get to the GZ, there simply is none.

You will need water transportation to reach the cache once at the GZ, which is reachable from your watercraft.

This cache will take you to the Richmond Conservation Area, just southwest of Ottawa, where you'll find a mowed field, picnic tables, and a launch for your cartop boat.

Watch for painted, and snapping turtles sunning themselves on logs, and green herons perched on poles on the way to the GZ.

FREE canoe and kayak (Rooftop boats only) launch and parking at N 45° 11.425 W 75° 49.888.
