The cache is not at the posted. Those coords will take you to the entrance to the boat launch.
Make your way to the river and launch your boat. Paddle out to the middle and look around for a concrete and steel man-made object. It is huge.
Make your way to it and look up. Mark a WP on your GPSr when you are centered on the object. Count the number of brown metal drains that you see above you. Call that number 'D.'
'D' times 89 will give you the distance to the cache in metres. 'D' times 45.75 will give you the bearing in degrees true. From the center of the huge object.
The container holds a stamp and a geocaching logbook. Please bring along your ink pad to stamp your logbook.
Although the cache may look like it's along the shoreline, it IS NOT. It's on a tree branch overhanging the river and is NOT accessible from the private property along the nearby road.
Neither can you walk along the shoreline to get to the GZ, there simply is none.
You will need water transportation to reach the cache once at the GZ, which is reachable from your watercraft.
This cache will take you to the Richmond Conservation Area, just southwest of Ottawa, where you'll find a mowed field, picnic tables, and a launch for your cartop boat.
Watch for painted, and snapping turtles sunning themselves on logs, and green herons perched on poles on the way to the GZ.
FREE canoe and kayak (Rooftop boats only) launch and parking at N 45° 11.425 W 75° 49.888.
