Geocache Description:

Well......here we go again......

The 2013 edition of the Spring Time Trivia Time Event will actually be held on the last full weekend in Winter, so it's hopefully a farewell to the cold and a welcome to the warmer Spring weather, but it is Canberra so we can only hope the weather will be kind to us......

For those newer caches who had yet to stumble across the ever increasing addiction that caching is, you can check here to read about last years event. (visit link)

So.........

How many caches are there in the ACT?
How many pages does it take to list all of the ACT caches on GC.com?
Which ACT cachers have found over 500 Multi caches?
How many ACT Cachers are members of the ACT 1000 Club?

If you’d like to know the answers to these questions, well you could probably just look them up, OR you could come to the Spring Time Trivia Time 2013 Event where all will be revealed.

Details of the Event are:

Where: Old Kambah Homestead – (The Posted Co-ords)

When: 9.30am Sunday 25 August 2013

The idea is that we will meet at 9.30am, then around 10.00am we will start the trivia questions. All questions will of course, be caching related.

To add to the ‘festivities’, we will again make it a morning tea, so if you would like to join in on ‘mornos’ please bring a plate (with some food on it) and we'll tuck into that after the trivia questions have been read and before we check the answers and announce the winners.

Please log a Will Attend so I know how many trivia sheets to prepare. It might also be handy if you can advise in that log what you will bring along for the morning tea. This might just save us from having lots of the same 'goodies'. Of course, joining in on morning tea is not compulsory........but to be fair........no bring a plate........no eat.

For those not familiar with the Kambah Homestead, there are toilets on site, and although they are a little old, they are functional. There are picnic tables and bench seats, however it might be a good idea if you throw a couple of folding chairs in the car...... just in case. Don't forgot the water/drinks either....or maybe even the themos.

A rough timeline for the morning will something like this:

9.30am – 9.55am - Arrive and register

Approx 10.00am – Trivia questions start

Approx 10.45am – Trivia questions finish, morning tea begins

Approx 11.15am – Trivia questions answered

Approx 11.50am - Winners announced

Approx 12.30am – Clean up/pack up and go caching

Best that you bring along a pen or two, as well as a clipboard or similiar to rest your answer sheet on.

Remember, the object of the day is to get together with other cachers, over some yummy food, answer a few questions and maybe win a prize. The prizes will be different sized cache containers, all set up ready to be deployed. (Sorry, no sheep stations) Don't worry if you think your caching trivia knowledge may not be the same as others, the fun can simply be in participating and meeting others who play our fun game. (And yes, the food can be a good reason to attend as well)

If you have any questions, drop me an e-mail.......hope to see you ón the day...........
