Geocache Description:

Radio... is an amazing technology that we almost take for granted nowadays. It really is amazing and will continue to be amazing for some time to come.

With Radio, we can communicate with almost anyone in the world, in realtime, either by voice, live video streams, or data transmission. What can't we do with it? That part of the future isn't clear yet, but most-certainly it will continue to evolve for a long time to come.

Approximately 120 years ago, a technology that now seems to be on its way out, even though it really isn't, did not even exist.

Nikola Tesla proposed that radio waves could be used for telecommunication and that was way back in 1892. Since then, the transformation of that technology has been changed so much that what we now call 'radio' is nothing like it was with its beginnings.

Radio has come a long way in such a short time...and without the Radio Waves, we would not be able to enjoy and partake in such fun activities such as listening to the radio, talking on the phone, and especially having fun doing something out-of-doors like Geocaching.

This interesting evolution has been shown in an infographic which is informative and eductaional.
