A Poplar Bush

The black cottonwood tree
Is a poplar you see
It grows tall and straight with nice glossy leaves;
In spring it sends a honey smell upon the breeze.
Now let us consider how tall it can be.
When it’s all grown up the tops hard to see.
At around 55 meters a long way up there
You'll get a crink in your neck if you continue to stare
Now I’m sure we all know that looking long looks so far
While it’s not so impressive when we look toward a star.
So let’s take some grown trees hmmm, let’s make it three Lay them all down along the road so we can see.
Now lay them from leaf tip to where the roots start,
You will have the same distance the DBM caches are apart!
But before they become giants I want you to know
When deer and elk browse them they are slow to grow.
In fact they remain shrimpy like a well manicured bush,
The perfect hiding spot for another cache to push!
