Geocache Description:

Two of my favorite type of caches are Wherigo's and 5/5 Underwater caches. I have found 2 Underwater caches and both of them were very challenging and a bunch of fun. Seems how I have found both of the Underwater caches that are within a 100 mile radius of my location, I decided to hide one of my own. This cache is located in Bear Pond, which is Turner & Hartford. You will need a boat of some sort to reach the cache location.

It is an easy canoe or kayak from the Private Boat Launch that is provided by the Gordon family for people to access the pond. Donations are welcome, there is a box at the entrance. I have provided a good size donation to start and will make another donation at the end of the season depending on the number of cachers that use the launch. The Gordon's do a great job of maintaining a nice launch for everyone on the pond to use, please be respectful and no overnight parking is allowed.

My family has a camp on the pond and I can see the cache location from our beach and will be watching the activity. I may even come over and watch the festivities. I will be staying at the lake for the entire month of July, if you are planning a trip out to the cache feel free to send me an email, I may be able to provide some on site assistance if I am around or just to talk shop. The cache is located near a rock pile, so you could canoe over and tie up your boat to the buouys that are nearby and then swim out to the location. The cache is a black pelican box with a lock & lock inside of it. I have stocked the cache with some small cache containers and swag, but please leave the lock & lock that contains all the goodies in the pelican box when you are done. The cache is in about 10' of water attached with a carabiner that you can unclip. There is a small pencil inside, but bring a writing utensil just in case. Also pictures would be appreciated but not necessary to relive the fun had by all.

Good luck and safe swimming!!!

Congratulations to the Team of VIP, Martes, rcflyeriam, & SurfsUpDiverDown for the fun filled FTF.
