Cache is located near the historic Wolfe Creek Grist Mill. The mill was built in 1790. The site was chosen due to the drop in elevation along the creek in combination with the solid lime stone banks and creek bed. This was the first grist mill builtin the territory that would become the state of Ohio. This mill also supplied much of the meal for the Marietta settlement.
The site today is now home to Grange #231 and the meeting place of Boy Scout troop 222.
