This cache is a disguised micro/nano by the pier which stretches out into the point the River Itchen and Southampton Water meet. The access to the pier is restricted but you do not need to enter the pier to retrieve this cache.
This is a great spot to watch cruise ships leaving Southampton, usually at around 5pm. It also happens to be Bingo the Geodog's favourite local swimming spot so if you see a black dog far out in the water, it's probably us!
The area can be busy with muggles, particularly in the summer months and/or when a sailing event is taking place at the nearby Sailing Club. The cache is retrievable around the clock including at high tide.
Free parking is available either next to the Sailing Club or in the large public car park across the road.
The cache is not suitable for wheelchair users and those with pushchairs may struggle to get to GZ owing to the uneven ground. Happy hunting, please replace as and where you found.
