Food & Fun & Followship
August 17th is the date that Groundspeak has designated for the 3rd annual "International Geocaching Day" -- day that we as cachers can celebrate the fun sport of geocaching. We have had so much fun the past two years that we could not let this day go by without doing another event. Make plans to be with us as we celebrate the 13th year of the great hobby/sport we all enjoy. Let's get together and have some fun.
When: Saturday, August 17th 1pm - 4pm
Where: Fuddruckers @ 1509 John B White Sr Blvd Spartanburg, SC 29301
Who: EVERYONE!! The young, the young at heart, the curious, the new-to-geocaching, the experienced cacher.
What's going on: We will be celebrating the 3rd International Geocaching Day by getting together with friends and meeting new ones. If you are new to geocaching in the Upstate area or have been in the game for a while this is the Meet & Greet for you. It is time to put some faces to the names you have been seeing on those logs recently.
Of course, there will be enough food for everyone, but you do not have to buy anything or eat in order to participate in the event. You can check the menu selection HERE.
The plan is to have door prizes again this year. Thanks to all your participation in the past, we have never been in want in this department...so bring it on. If you have something you would like to donate bring it with you and set it in the box. We will pull from the stash of gifts for games and ultimately the door prize drawing.
Have you gotten some new geocoins recently? Bring them and show them off. YOu know we geocachers love discovering shiny stuff so bring them with you. Do you like discovering geocoins or checking out new shiny coins? There will be some there to look at and to Oooo and Ahhh over.
Most of all, come join us for a good time of fellowship. Geocaching is not necessarily about the destination, but the journey; and part of the journey is enjoying it with friends. So make plans to join us on August 17th to add to your journey of geocaching by sharing stories with fellow geocachers.
