I am a part-time builder and full time cacher. Retaining walls fascinate me. This one in particular took my fancy for it's construction and cache stashing potential.
"Dead-man!!!", I hear you say. Well don't be too alarmed. A dead-man is another name for a type of anchor used to strengthen a retaining wall. It is usually placed behind the wall and placed in the dirt or drilled into the rock and tied back to the wall with wire or rods. The wall where the cache is placed you can see the rows of 'dead-man' anchors tied to the outside of the wall with steel plates.
The cache is high, be careful.
