Located on public footpath just before entrance to Alvaston Nature Reserve. Once found continue through the Nature Reserve to far side for next cache. Street parking available on Alvaston Street.
A series of 8 caches on a short circular walk which incorporates footpaths, bridlepaths and cycle routes. Discovered this walk with the dog whilst looking for fruits from the hedgerow for my home brewing activities. Elderberries, blackberries and rosehips from the wild dog rose make most excellent wines and keep me well stocked through the following summer. This walk can be done as a short 2-3 mile walk or can be incorporated as a slight detour from the longer series of caches set by various members along the length of the river Derwent. How far or how short you make this walk is entirely up to you. At the end of each cache I will give you directions to your next find.
