Geocache Description:

Placed adjacent to a public footpath that I have used many times walking between Ogwen Bank and Pen yr Ole Wen. The path is not flat and there is modest effort to get at this cache. To put this in perspective, my 80-year-old parents have walked easily from the A5 (Ogwen Bank) along this path and well beyond. Access to the cache itself requires a little more care than the walking.

Thanks to rosie-rab for motivating me to lay this cache.

Path near the cache

The cache is a half-litre screw-top plastic bottle near the edge of ancient woodland. Room for small trackables. Please take care and not to damage the container and to hide from view before leaving. I think you are unlikely to be disturbed in this quiet spot under trees so happy hunting!

After your caching here is complete, I recommend following the path about 400 feet up the hill and through the gate (and perhaps a little further) for outstanding views of Ogwen Valley, Penrhyn Slate Quarries and much more.
