Bowman Straight Stretch Traditional Cache

This is one area where you can see a lot on the hike up Bowman. Although some people object to clear cutting it is the only profitable way to log in this area. The damage during logging heals in a few years and will not be logged for another 60 years or more. Selective logging damages the area every 10-15 years and the terrain never really recovers. Because this is timber land it is open to the public and I hope it remains that way forever.
