This fun letterbox is located in Village Wood Lake Park, open from 8am to 10 pm. parking is at stage one. please respect park hours. Wow this is a very nice park. I arrived with my dog and headed out on the trail. My dog decided to take off with out me. I had to dart in and out of the treed area. Finally I was able to catch my dog and make it back to my car. Whoops... no keys. Can you please help me find my keys? Up ahead to the right about 40 feet is a huge tree. I remember hugging this tree trying to corner my dog. If you hug this tree you'll find the first stage and stamp. I returned to the pathway, I stopped to view the pond. Nice pond and cute houses surrounding it. About 200 feet on the right of the trail is a big "Y" tree. My dog jumped through this "Y". If you look close you will find stage two and the next stamp. Keep walking until the gravel path ends. To the left by the pond is a great tree almost reaching the sky. I remember chasing the dog around it. Look around it and you will find stage Three and the next stamp. Then go back to the grass path. At the end is a nice spot to fish. This is also a place where when I was a teenager there was a rope swing and all the neighborhood kids would meet and swim all day with the fish nipping at our toes! This was going to be the last spot for the final, but the bushes around this grand tree have thorns and we do not want anyone getting hurt. So turn around and walk about 30 feet, look to your left - opposite the grand tree, and you will see a game trail, which we are sure will become a geotrail. Go down the hill and to your left will be a tree thats base splits up to three major branches. This is where I lost my keys. And where my dog finally let me catch him. There are many key chains to choose from. Take one and leave one. We hope you have had a great time helping us to recover our keys! And please keep your pet on a leash :o)
