Geocache Description:

You are searching for a black pill bottle.

"The Kansas March" is one of two official state marches for Kansas.  This is cache #16 in a series of 27 caches honoring the state symbols of Kansas and Nebraska along State Line Road.

"The Kansas March" was written Duff. E. Middleton, who was the director of instrumental music for Wichita schools from 1928 to 1947.  During that time, he earned a nationwide reputation as a director of bands and a teacher of instrumental music according to the Wichita Morning Eagle.  In addition to his work with school bands, he was the director of the American Legion Band.  This march was written May 15, 1935.  It was designated the official state march later that year under Kansas State Statute Chapter 73, Section 73-801.
