Geocache Description:

On 30 June 1647 a Portuguese Galleon, Sacramento, stranded off the South-Eastern coast of South Africa. 72 people survived the shipwreck.Their only hope to ever be reunited with their loved ones at home was to reach Delagoa Bay (now Maputo) more than 1300 km northwards. So they started an epic walk. Six months later in January 1648 only 9 ultimate survivors reached Maputo. The rest perished on their way.

If you look over your shoulder you will see the rocky coastline where the Sacramento stranded. If you take some time to stare accross the ocean, you may see some whales playing on the horizon.
