Geocache Description:

While Gloucester is a bit of distance from major centres it is more than capable of providing a great day out for the visiting tourist, and geocacher. This Event will tie in with the visit of the Pinnacle Challenge trailer at this location, or similar, as approved by Gloucester Council.

This Event is 'wheelchair Friendly', but the Activities of the morning are NOT.

As an educational component there will be a short explanation of what Groundspeak says about the Levels of Terrain ratings, and what we feel you should be doing to keep yourself safe at all times on the higher Terrain cache hunt. (Especially when ropes are required.)

There are limited opportunities for the average cacher to be supervised while attempting those higher levels of difficulty of Terrain, and here we will have you harnessed up, and on belay all the time while attempting the activities. The Meet and Greet will 'officially' be from 12pm to 2pm, but come and say "Hi!" as soon as you arrive.

I know there are just a few active geocachers in the Gloucester / Barrington area, and hopefully we can get some more to come along from Newcastle, Taree, and Port Macquarie, as the number of caches in the area increases. Also, you may want to include this, and others in the area, for your 31 day 'Streak' for August, where you will get a Souvenir for each day you find a geocache in August!

Activities will 'kick-off' at 10 am, and the Meet & Greet will go to 1 or 2pm. But we will be there longer with the setting up, and dismantling of the trailer. The High Wire is just one of the 4 (FOUR) activities that are planned on the trailer.
For those 'Watching', please contact the CO on 0416 067 863, so we ascertain what level of Activities you would like to do, as they are somewhat Terrain related.
