This is the 72nd cache I have placed. Prior to placing a cache I always check to determine whether any existing caches have the name I'd like to use. In this instance I simply could not devise a better name, and as luck would have it, there is not another identically-named cache, so I present to you ... Cache 72.
I enjoy puzzle caches. Some offer a modest challenge and some are quite complicated, such as the handful of tough local ones that I have been working on for a while to no avail. I have learned that patience, the ability to think like the cache owner, perhaps a bit of mathematical skill, and reading comprehension are critical.
For those puzzles I've been stumped by, I believe I have the patience to eventually solve them and I am slowly picking up clues as to how those cache owners developed their puzzles. I am rusty with some higher-lever mathematics, but have observed that familiarity with a simple multiplication table such as the one shown here often gets me started in the correct direction. Luckily, I practiced my "times tables" every evening during fourth and fifth grades against a stopwatch, so I know these calculations cold. And some subtle cache hints can be teased out of clever descriptions if one pays attention to the words used.
