Take a walk on the Regional Trail past the Danada Equestrian Center. Enjoy the flora and fauna, including an abundance of Joe Pye Weed, as you hike through the Danada forest. After you come out into the prairie, keep an eye open for a footpath. Cache is a clear plastic spice container, with official DuPage Forest Preserve seal, a short distance off of the footpath. Beautiful views of the prairie, Rice Lake, a horse farm, and the Danada forest. And take a moment to appreciate the milkweed, which helps to nourish the monarch butterfly.
