When is a Overpass not a Bridge??? Traditional Cache

Galesburg is proud to be a railroad town. But as trains cross our streets, it forces drivers to sit and wait. We are all used to finding ways to spend our time waiting as the trains go by (like looking up caches!) …but in late 2012, this overpass was opened as the first of three RR projects & was named after our longtime State Representative. It will definitely speed traffic flow and improve safety while ‘bridging’ the future.

So there will be one less train to get caught by now, but those rumbles remain welcome and our railroad industry will continue to thrive as they’re important to our transportation & trade.

Make the turn and there is some pull off parking available then take a walk up the ‘bridge’ but be careful - there is lots of traffic and muggles. It really is a beautifully done project. BYOP and BYOT (tweezers lol!)
