CHALLENGE
***JANUARY 31, 2018 UPDATE--My public bookmark has been updated to reflect the current standings. The landscape of favorites has changed considerably since I published this cache. The first MEGA in the state of Kansas and another in nearby Colorado within the past few years have led to some big changes. This is likely an over-rated challenge now, but I don't believe in changing D/T ratings on caches after they have been found, so I will leave it be.
Five of the required eleven caches can be found within a few miles of Mingo.
Nine of the required eleven caches can be found within a few miles of I-70 and the other two are close together in NW Kansas.
I was hoping to get people off the main roads and exploring the state. There are still a lot of other good caches out there that are no longer qualifiers.
Sitting On A Spider, The German Cave, Pig Out, Mount Sunflower Conquest, Middle Of The Kaw, Shamrock Cafe are just a few examples. Kansas has a lot of good caches and some great scenic views. Keep on cachin'.

This a challenge cache. There is a container at the posted coordinates and you may sign the physical log at any time, but you MUST complete the challenge before claiming the

To claim a find on this challenge, you must find the top ten most favorite caches in the state of Kansas PLUS any one cache from amongst numbers 11-20 in the rankings. When you accept the challenge, do the following:
1) Post a note on this cache page stating your intention to attempt this challenge and list the current Top 10 caches in the state of Kansas on that date PLUS choose one cache from among numbers 11-20 on that date.
2) Go find those ELEVEN caches that you listed and log them as found on GC.com
3) When you claim the find on this challenge, list those ELEVEN caches in your log and the date that you found them.
4) If you are one of the few who have already met the requirements for this challenge...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, GO SIGN THE LOG.
5) If you are the proud owner of one (or more) of these caches, congratulations for making such a great contribution to the caching community and that cache will count on your list.
6) If there is a tie for number 10 (and as of the publication date, there is), pick one as your number 10.
To find out which caches have been ranked by premium members as the BEST caches in the state of Kansas, do the following:
1) Under "PLAY" at the top of the page, choose "FIND A GEOCACHE"
2) Click on "FILTER" and in the "LIMIT SEARCH TO..." box, type, "KANSAS"
3) When the list of caches appears, click on the blue ribbon favorite column and...voila, the caches will be re-organized and listed according the number of favorite points they have been rewarded. Numbers 1-20 should be listed on the first page.
YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO DO THIS IF YOU ARE A PREMIUM MEMBER. IF YOU ARE NOT A PREMIUM MEMBER, PLEASE FIND ONE WHO IS TO HELP YOU WITH THIS TASK...or...UTILIZE THE COOL BOOKMARK I HAVE CREATED THAT LISTS THE CURRENT TOP 20. THIS WILL BE UPDATED ON A SEMI-REGULAR BASIS.
I recently completed this challenge myself and have found all of the current Top 13 and 19 of the Top 20.
This challenge will take you to many different parts of the state. Many of the caches do not have high D/T ratings and this cache is not a difficult hide, but the D/T rating for this cache reflects the fact that you will likely need to overcome your fear of spiders (or heights) and find at least one 5/5 cache, not to mention you will be doing some serious travelling.
Once again, the requirements for this challenge, are that you find all ten of the most favorite caches in the state of Kansas AND any ONE cache currently ranked between numbers 11-20.
