Cinema under the stars Traditional Cache

This cache is located outside one of the few remaining open air cinemas (Drive-in). This is a place where you could relive your childhood or offer an exciting outdoor experience for your family.

This open air cinema was established in the 1960s to provide entertainment for the Tom Price community. It is one of only two community run drive -ins in Western Australia. The community group organises a number of movies throughout the year. The drive-in has over 400 seats and YES you can bring your car in. This facility has recently been refurbished by Rio Tinto so the canteen is first class. (The drive-in is nostalgic as its projectors use 35mm movies.) The committee has been able to raise funds to purchase a DVD projector to replace the 35mm projectors. Movies are shown on designated Saturdays throughout the year. The drive-in has a stage where concerts can be held by various community groups. Each drive-in session donates funds to local charities. A notice board will give you more information. The front 3 fences were painted by community groups in 2002. These depict different activities and facilities around Tom Price. You are seeking a magnetic nano container.
