I am keeping the Pig Roast on the road, this time traveling to Pulaski State Park in lovely Chepachet. There are plenty of caching opportunities (by foot, bike or horse) in the area, so spend a day caching Pulaski and the George Washington WMA before meeting up with fellow cachers.
Here are the details as of now. I will update things as we get closer to the date (and will post a note when they are updated). Be sure to "Watch Listing" to stay up to date.
- When: Saturday, July 26th, 2014, from 3:00-5:00pm. I have the pavilion all day, and I may get there early, so don't hesitate to stop by and see if others are there. However, you need to be present at some point between 3 & 5pm to claim the "Attended".
- Where: Pulaski State Park, Chepachet, RI at the beach-side Pavilion (posted Coordinates)
- Food: Chips, Dip, Veggie Plates and Soft Drinks; I will have the grills fired up, so if you feel like bringing something for yourself to grill, please do! I will have cooking utensils avialable.
- Park Details: Dogs are allowed on a leash no longer than 6'. There is no fee to enter the park, but I am requesting a small voluntary donation to help defray the cost of renting the Pavillion and for food. Parking for the event is in the main lot, a short walk from the pavillion. The pavillion is beach side, so if the weather is nice, plan for a swim!
Come on out after a day of caching and share your caching stories, catch up with old friends, and make some new ones. There is a swimming beach nearby and loads of caches!
This is a Rain or Shine Event!
* No Pigs will be harmed in the execution of this event.
