2013 International Geocaching Day
Tugaloo State Park
Let's celebrate International Geocaching Day by gathering at Tugaloo State Park and in the process, earn another Geocaching Souvenir.
In 2012, we made International Geocaching Day the biggest day in Geocaching.com history. More than 94,000 geocachers from around the world charged into the wilderness or perhaps strolled down the sidewalk to find a geocache on that day. This year may prove to be even bigger on August 17th by surpassing 100,000 Geocachers out doing the same thing.
We'll start off at 1:00PM with some Picnic fixin's including: hot-off-the-grill burgers, dogs and other snack items. Feel free to bring a dish or picnic item to share. We'll have a nice and big pavillion #3 to meet under.
There will be a map of the World for you to mark where you've Geocached so we can get an idea on how much of the Earth covered amongst us. It doesn't get any more international than that.
Afterwards we'll have a few activities for you to participate in if you wish. So stay tuned for developments.
We'll have a Piñata (Geo-Style) for the kids and then we'll have a load of fun with 'Pin the Cache on the Reviewer'. This will be interesting.
Also, don't miss the fun with the Georgia Geo-Campers at Tugaloo State Park this weekend.
