Geocache Description:

The sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps was filmed and set in Runcorn, with the exterior of the Waterloo Hotel (now a Buddhist temple) appearing as the Archer pub in the show.

Two Pints of Lager ran for 9 series with 80 episodes from 2001 to 2011. The Archer was the haunt of the main characters, and was named after the show's first script editor, Paul Mayhew-Archer. (The first series also featured another pub called the Mayhew.)

The Bridgewater Canal is also located by this cache. Previously it used to connect to the Manchester Ship Canal, however it now terminates after the Waterloo Bridge, just past the Waterloo pub.

The cache is a small container holding just a log, so you'll need to bring your own crayons, and tweezers may be handy. There is a car park located nearby.
