Geocache Description:

This is the Blair Bridge entrance to the newly refurbished Monkland Canal Walk. The walk follows the canal tow path from Blairhill to Bargeddie, taking in Drumpellier Country Park along the route.

Please replace the cache exactly as you found it

The archway at the entrance from Blair Road is made up of thousands of pieces of shaped steel, which have been welded together and depicts superheroes holding up the sun and the moon

The work, by Andy Scott, who also made the M8 heavy horse, pays homage to the work of renowned comic book writer Mark Millar, who grew up in the town.

The canal is now very popular with walkers, cyclists and fishermen, and attracts a variety of wildlife and wildfowl.
