This event is being held 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Thursday, August 1st at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, Marvin Auditorium 101A. This is the first room on your left as you enter the library.
At this event our primary focus will be the following topics:
- Streaking - Finding a geocache daily
- Hiding caches
I as your humble event host am on a current geocaching streak of over 500 days in a row. I don't expect most that attend to be that insane but streaking through the month of August is an acheivable goal for most. The good news about my insanity for you is that you can learn from my mistakes. I'll discuss what's worked, what hasn't, strategies to stay motivated, and answer any questions you might have.
In addition to talking about streaking we'll also talk about hiding caches. It's hard to acheive a streak if there aren't new caches to find. I'll introduce you to my good friend, Mark Waypoint, who I became quite familiar with this summer. And in order to encourage new cache placements to help people with their streaks, everyone who attends will get a free bison tube.
