The Dalmatian on the bench (a statue) is NOT the Dalmatian you are looking for. Look for a rock instead!
Note: This cache is a replacement and upgrade of Dalmatians Rock!. Due to maintenance issues, I have completely modified the puzzle and the final location. Since it is now a whole new experience, I decided to create a new cache rather than change the old one. If you have found the original, come on back to this cool spot and enjoy a whole new puzzle!
To find the cache, please solve the VERY EASY puzzle below.
First, go to the posted coordinates for this cache. You will be at an interesting and little-known location near the Seaside beach. Note: It is not easy to park very close to this site, so please plan to park at the public parking area at the end of Avenue U and take the short and pleasant walk to the site. You can walk through the neighborhood or along the beach.
Please do not touch anything at this site. You can solve the puzzle without picking up the needed item.
To find that item, consider the title of the cache. When you see it, count the number of black spots. The bottom is NOT painted, so again, no need to touch anything.
Now, build the coordinates by using the number of spots you counted. The cache is at:
N 45 58.XXX
W 123 56.YYY
To get XXX, multiply the number of spots by 80 and add 14.
To get YYY, multiply the number of spots by 18 and add 24.
Now, go get it!
